Evaluation / Measurement
Site visit, discussion, visual assessment of walls, structure, HVAC, and all fixtures in relation to client goals. Measurement of interior spaces and components such as windows, and doors, as well as location of fixtures, inlets, and outlets relating to plumbing, HVAC, and electrical.
Concept Development
More detailed and specific visuals of the space planning ideas
Elevations
Scaled line drawings of the finished vertical appearance of the interior walls with installed elements, usually in 1/2" scale.
Style Aesthetic and Material suggestion
As applicable, suggestions of features or materials to support the vision and goals of the client for the look and "feel" of their space.
Schedules
Legends to clarify components of the design. May include: Cabinets, Electrical, Appliances, Plumbing, Windows, Doors, and more.
Contractor Referral
Referral assistance in securing a Contractor to construct and manage the project.
Space Planning
Sketched or scaled layouts of components and fixtures based on function and circulation.
Scaled Floorplan Production
A to-scale, bird's-eye drawing with dimensions showing the relationship between rooms and spaces with installed fixtures. During the design process, floor plans are created of 1) existing space, 2) the best concepts, 3) the remodel plan. Depending on scope of project, floor plans may be in 1/4" scale or 1/2" scale.
Lighting/Electrical Plan
Drawn and dimensioned bird's-eye plan, in scale, of the placement of lighting fixtures and electrical switches and outlets in relation to the walls, fixtures and interior space.
CAD Renderings
Computer-generated, color, 3D perspective views of concepts and/or the remodel design. See below
Engineering Referral
Referral assistance in securing a licensed engineer to produce signed and stamped technical drawings and details which may be required for submission for permit to construct the project.
Questions during the remodel process
I am always available to my clients, their Contractor, and/or Engineer to answer any questions throughout the project and encourage such communication to avoid any misinterpretation of the design and it's intended outcome.
